El Portal Visitor Center is the gateway: ranger talks, exhibits about the rainforest ecosystem and the first photo stop on PR-191. Free entry, opens at 9 am.
Yokahu Observation Tower rises 65 feet with panoramic views over the canopy and the Atlantic coast. Short stair climb, 5 minutes from the main road.
La Mina Trail is the most popular waterfall hike: 0.7 miles each way down a paved path through the rainforest to a swimmable pool at the base of La Mina Falls.
